August 31, 2018 – Murrieta, CA
5th Annual SRCAR® Chili Cook-Off for Charity!
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! You do not want to miss this SRCAR® event.
All are invited and welcome to join in on the Chili Cook-Off fun on Friday, October 5th from 6-10 p.m. at Save the Animals Today, Animal Sanctuary, 31530 Scott Road, Murrieta.
Here you will be able to taste Chili ranging from “Home-Style”, “HotHotHot”, “Vegetarian”, as well as a variety of tasty cornbread.
Enjoy an evening of fun and friends. We will feature LIVE music from local country band, TTT Brand. In addition, stops to the Wine & Beer Garden and to the Photo Booth will be a must! Newly added is our Whisky a Go Go Bar with Whiskey courtesy of Kalifornia Distilleries.
There will be judging for not only the various chili and cornbread, but also for booth décor! This Chili Cook Off fundraiser will benefit the following LOCAL, non-profit organizations:
American Heart Association/American Stroke Association/SWR County. Mission Statement: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. (Come by their booth on October 5th for heart healthy chili samples!)
Pamela Babek and Trish Stuber, founders of Wishers and Dreamers, formed in 2013, know that many children spend their time in hospitals, clinics, and germ free environments. Many children with disease, illness, or a disabling medical condition are unable to play outside. Therefore, their doll or bear may be their best friend. The gowns are handmade with love by the Wishers and Dreamers, family, and friends. (Come visit their booth on October 5th as well!)
For the past 30 years, the SRCAR® Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to outstanding college-bound high school seniors in the Southwest Riverside County. In 2018, we awarded 30 $1,000 scholarships. Our REALTOR® and Affiliate members work tirelessly to host fun events that help raise dollars for scholarships which include bowling tournaments, BINGO nights, dart competitions, Texas Hold’em charity events and of course, our banner event – the Chili Cook Off for Charity!
