According to Murrieta Police on 10/3/2017, the Murrieta Police Department responded to the 38500 block of Calle De La Siesta regarding a report of a missing woman. Family members stated that the 67 year old woman had left her residence earlier in the day and had not returned. The family was concerned due to previous incidents in which she had become disoriented and needed assistance in getting home.
On 10/4/2017, the Murrieta Police Department Detective Bureau assumed the missing person investigation. During the course of the investigation, the missing person’s cell phone was located a short distance away from her home. Due to the amount of time the woman was away from home and had no contact with her family, Murrieta Police Department requested the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department bloodhound. With the help of the bloodhound, the missing woman was located and reunited with her family.
