According to a press release:
Nicolas Hunt-Tanner (22 years) Resident of Murrieta has been taken into custody for a Charge, 187 (a) PC Murder.
According to authorities,
On 06/9/18 at approximately 2:56 p.m., the Murrieta Police Department received a call from a residence on the 39000 block of Sunrose Drive.
Upon arrival Murrieta Police Officers along with Paramedics discovered a male adult in his 50’s with significant injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and stab wounds.
The adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Subsequent investigation resulted in an arrest of a adult male, later identified as the victim’s son, Nicolas Hunt-Tanner.
According to the press release, Hunt-Tanner was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention center for a Charge, 187 (a) PC Murder.
The investigation is on-going, however there are no outstanding suspects and the detectives have recovered the weapons involved in the crime. The identity of the victim is pending notification of next of kin and will be released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
