With the Cheesecake Factory opening up in Temecula 2 days before Thanksgiving, it is quite the talk around the area. The Cheesecake Factory first wet our appetite about 2 1/2 years ago when a deal was started, and then broken. Inside sources tell us that a deal was initially cut 2 1/2 years ago however The Promenade Mall was very adamant about having the restaurant look similar to the malls outside structure. C’mon, The Cheesecake Factory should look like The Cheesecake Factory, not the mall right? As a result of that, the Cheesecake Factory backed out of the deal.
Fast forward today, Thursday November 15th, we were invited to the pre-opening; and we are extremely grateful we were. We have dined at numerous Cheesecake Factory’s, but there is something different in the air here tonight. There is a very high contagious sense of excitement. Every employee has huge smiles on their faces and the look right down to their uniforms was crisp and pristine. There was not a wrinkle in any shirt, there was a sense of esprit de corps. The vibe was so contagious you could see and hear it in the customers as well.
The food was amazing, we sampled everything from the Rib Eye steak, to the pasta, and even the Salmon. Of course we sampled the Cheesecake and it was absolutely mind-blowing.
As busy as it was tonight, Executive Management did make it to our table to chat for a while. They informed us that there was over 5000 applicants for this Temecula location, and they hired just a little over 350. It was definitely apparent that they hired the creme dela creme here, multiple servers checked in on us through out the evening. Our server was Chloe. She was exceptional. I recommend you ask for her when you make it out here.
