San Diegos’ Cafe Japengo Closing After 30 Years

If you are a foodie and know the San Diego area you have probably dined at Japengo.  It has been one of the hottest Sushi Cafes for 30 years now.  They first opened in 1990 and will close this month after nearly 3 decades at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

The Asian-Fusion Sushi Bar was known for a great atmosphere and great Sushi of course.  They were known for their specialty rolls such as the Tootsie Roll and the Pizza Rolls.

Japengo will close after the last supper Friday June 22.  Sources tell us that a national fitness gym will be the new tenant.

Thank you Japengo for the great times we had.  We will miss you!
