St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Murrieta threw an end of Summer party this weekend, in observance of their Patron Saint Martha. Sources tell us this Church has over 7,000 registered families!
Not 7,000 parishioners, but 7,000 families. In fact we were told that a high percentage of the parishioners come outside of the Murrieta zip code. This Church is known as the “caring community” feeding over 500 families every week through their church owned food pantry. They feed families of all kind whether you are Catholic or not. The event had everything from a DJ to activities for the kids. Families lined up which seemed like forever to feast on the succulent tri-tip that was donated by Miller-Jones Mortuary. The Knights Of Columbus Council 11393 Choir was also present during the Mass. The turnout was amazing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The evening ended with a movie on the big screen for the whole family. We felt the heart warming attitudes with everyone we came in contact with. It’s no surprise this Church is known as the “Caring Community”. Thank you St. Martha, we had a great time!
