[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ajor java player Starbucks has announced they will close its stores for an afternoon on May 29th to roll out racial-bias training.
The movement comes after protests erupted over the weekend because of the arrests of two black men in a Philadelphia Starbucks last week.
The last time Starbucks closed in a similar fashion was to retrain their Baristas on how to make espresso and steam milk. Sources tell us that particular closure cost the company $6 million in lost revenue. That was back in 2008.
This upcoming closure is estimated to cost Starbucks $12 Million beans.
