Jim FergossiWhen you’re sitting in a local Starbucks, you never know who you’ll unexpectedly run into. Last week I was lucky enough to run into Tara Whelton and I’ve got to tell you, I had no idea how meeting her would change my life. Starbucks isn’t just for coffee, it’s for connections. And connect we did.
Tara is the queen of eliminating mental and physical clutter.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Tara or working with her, you’ve got to take the time to check her out. She’s a breath of fresh air. She exudes kindness and confidence, and when you’re in her presence you feel special. You feel heard. You feel inspired to take action and create a better life.
If you’re like most people (me included), you’re constantly on the go. The 24-hours we have in a day just aren’t enough. You rush from here to there, not really enjoying the moment but rather checking things off your to-do list and stressing about what you know isn’t going to get done. From simply going to work or running the kids from school activities to sports practice; life simply gets in the way. Making time for yourself comes last if at all. And with all that you’ve got going on, your life becomes cluttered.
It was interesting listening to Tara talk about how once upon a time she was on the go 24/7, stressed to the max, overloaded, overwhelmed, and most certainly under-fulfilled. She said she had a million and one things going on at any given moment, but nothing she was doing really brought her much joy.
I asked Tara what typically has to happen before one can ascend into a happier, more joyful life. She said you must let go of all the things that don’t bring you joy. You must be willing to take stock of your life and be honest with yourself about what’s working and what isn’t. Tara believes that if you want a life filled with love, laughter, connection and joy, you must SIMPLIFY your life and create space for what matters most. You must let go of the mental and physical clutter that’s standing in the way of your happiness.
I was so fascinated listening to Tara. Her philosophy resonated with me. It made so much sense that it opened my eyes to a new way of thinking and had me believing that everyone could benefit from having a life coach.
Tara offers a wide array of services I didn’t even know existed. From a one-time breakthrough session to a 6-month intensive program (and many others in between), she’s got it all. I had to ask what a person’s first step would be to determine what type of program might be best for them, and sure enough Tara offers a Free Discovery Call to learn about your needs, explain her programs in more detail and answer any questions you might have. I was surprised that you can’t just sign up to work with her, it must first be determined if you’re a good fit to work together.
Thank you, Tara for the nice conversation. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. I appreciate you taking the time to talk with me. I hope the time we spent together was a free consultation. If not, send me a bill and I will gladly pay it!
