Credit: French Valley Press

Winchester CA. 04/03/2019- We managed to talk with an internal source at Denny’s today. We were advised that Denny’s French Valley is putting the final touches on the restaurant today in hopes of opening tomorrow, 04/04/2019. The interest of Denny’s at this location has been extremely high as we have received an overwhelming amount of emails asking about the opening date. Many French Valley Residents have told us they are not a huge fan of the chain, however it is nice to see the area get some additional restaurants. Denny’s is on the corner of Benton and Winchester, across from the Stater Bros. Shopping Center.

We just received an email from Denny’s home office advising us that the plan to open the Winchester Road and Benton location is scheduled for opening in December.  Who doesn’t like a Grand Slam every now and then. We’ll keep you posted as the opening gets closer.

HISTORY

Harold Butler and Richard Jezak opened a donut stand in 1953 and called it Danny’s Donuts. Butler’s stated promise was “To serve the best cup of coffee, make the best donuts, give the best service, offer the best value and stay open 24 hours a day.” Today that donut stand is a restaurant chain with a slightly different name, over 1,700 locations and a proven reputation for keeping Mr. Butler’s original promise.

I hope this Denny’s does not become a homeless hang out or attract the 2 am riff raff crowd.
